SignalP Trading Guide
How to get started, how to win on SignalP, and the method behind every signal. Edge isn't found — it's earned.
Edge isn't found — it's earned. Most retail traders try to find an edge by osmosis: piling up signals, indicators, and hot takes, hoping proximity to information becomes skill. It never does. The market rewards a repeatable personal process, not a bigger firehose.
SignalP gives you the playbook and the process — and even pays you to do the counterintuitive-but-fruitful work. The rest is up to you. This guide is the map: how to get started, how to win here, and the method underneath every signal.
The three beats
Everything on SignalP ladders up to one idea, in three beats:
- Signals teach. Every signal answers the 4 Questions — opportunity, risk, confirmation, invalidation. It's not a call to copy; it's a lens to learn.
- Journaling reveals. Track every trade and the analytics surface your anchor trade — the one setup you execute best.
- Practice rewards. The points system literally pays you for the reps most traders skip. Founders earn double, forever.
Getting started
Your first sessions are about situational awareness and setting up the tools that personalize everything else.
- Set up your trading profile. It tells us your experience level, the products you trade, and how you prefer to take signals, so we surface the setups that fit and skip the ones that don't. Two honest minutes here sharpens every recommendation. Start on your Profile tab.
- Open the Quicksheet. It's a daily snapshot of the levels and ranges the SignalP team is watching right now — situational awareness in under a minute. Make checking it part of your pre-market routine. Open the Quicksheet.
- Browse the Signal Feed. Each signal is built around the 4 Questions. Read a few end-to-end even when you don't plan to take the trade — the pattern recognition compounds. Open the Signal Feed.
Never skip a rung. A stranger doesn't want a Pro pitch — they want a free setup that makes them a better trader today. Build the base first.
How to win on SignalP: the daily loop
Winning here isn't about catching every trade. It's about running a repeatable loop until it becomes a habit — and the habit is the edge. Four moves, every session:
- Save signals. Saving turns the shared feed into your own library — a personal record of the setups you actually take, and the raw material for your analytics later. Save one that matches how you want to trade, even if you're only paper trading it.
- Journal Aha! Notes. Insight without capture is insight lost. One sentence is enough. The traders who grow fastest are the ones who journal even when nothing dramatic happened. Open your Journal.
- Complete lessons. PATHWAY is the methodology behind every signal. Following signals without understanding the why is how traders get shaken out on the first drawdown — the courses close that gap. Head to PATHWAY.
- Grade your trades. Log practice trades for risk-free reps, then grade them. You get the same analytics as a live trade — win rate, R-multiple, preset performance — without risking a dollar while your process is still forming. Aim for five before you size up.
Run the loop — save, journal, learn, grade — and it feeds itself. This loop is the moat: it's exactly what competitors can't copy, and exactly what we pay points for.
The method (the MO)
SignalP signals are built on proven, repeatable methodologies. Understanding them is what turns a copied trade into an earned one.
The 4 Questions
Every signal is framed by the 4 Questions — a "risk-forward" process for assessing any opportunity:
- Opportunity — what is the expected price target?
- Risk — what am I willing to risk for this opportunity?
- Right — once I'm in, what would tell me I was right?
- Wrong — once I'm in, what would tell me I was wrong?
Market & Volume Profile
Signals are grounded in auction theory — how markets discover fair value through buying and selling:
- Value Area — the price range where ~70% of volume traded.
- Point of Control (POC) — the price with the highest volume; a natural support/resistance level.
- High / Low Volume Nodes — HVNs act as support/resistance; LVNs are low-resistance zones price moves through quickly.

Find your anchor trade
The Playbook presets — IBGW, 3REV, DATR, TRCT — aren't four random strategies. They're four repeatable situations the market hands traders almost every day. Your job in the first week is to find your anchor trade: the one preset that fits your temperament and session. Mastering one is worth more than dabbling in all four. Explore the Playbook.
Earn your way to Pro
Here's the counterintuitive bet: the behaviors most correlated with trader growth — journaling, reviewing lessons, saving and grading signals — are exactly the ones traders skip because they're slow and unglamorous. So we invert the incentive. Points reward the habit, not the subscription.
Every fruitful action earns points: save a signal, write a journal note, complete a lesson, grade a trade, finish a course. Watch them add up every day on your Earn tab, then redeem them toward a Pro discount or a 1-on-1 session on the Rewards tab.
- A trader who journals five times a week for a month has already built the daily habit that makes Pro obvious.
- Founders earn a 2× lifetime multiplier — every rep counts double, forever.
We're not bribing signups. We're subsidizing the people most likely to succeed and stay.
